Family and Consumer Science

What is Family and Consumer Sciences?

Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) is the modern name for Home Economics. Montana State University Extension professionals serve people and families through programs aimed at providing education and resources relating to social, cultural, historical, and economic trends. We provide what people need to make informed decisions and suggestions on change. This can be up to date information on family finance, practical advice on how to deal with energy issues, support groups to help grandparents raising grandchildren, or workshops on eating healthfully on less money.
